    OVERVIEW
    The OpenSim project, in the department of Bioengineering at Stanford University, seeks a Biomechanics Research Assistant to join its team. OpenSim (http://opensim.stanford.edu) is free and open source software for modeling humans and animals and simulating how they move. We have a growing and geographically diverse community of users, in academia and industry, who apply the software in areas ranging from teaching to biomechanics research to product design.

    JOB DETAILS
    The Biomechanics Research Assistant will:
    - Help create educational materials, including videos, software examples, and online training manuals
    - Conduct software testing and usability assessment
    - Assist with OpenSim outreach and community building activities
    The research assistant will also have the opportunity to assist with ongoing research projects in our lab, applying musculoskeletal modeling and simulation to understand human movement. This is an excellent position for someone with a biomechanics or related background who is interested in a future research career in either academia or industry.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    - 1 to 2 yrs job-related experience
    - BS or MS in engineering, biomechanics, or related fields
    - Excellent oral and written communication skills
    - Strong computer and technical aptitude
    - Excellent teamwork with Stanford researchers
