The National Institute for Sports (INSEP) is recruiting for a leadership level research position as Director of the Research Department, starting on September 1st 2013. The INSEP is located in Paris.

The Research Department of the INSEP gathers 15 researchers and 3 engineers whose work focuses on understanding and optimization of performance.

The hired candidate will be expected to:

- define and lead the scientific project of the laboratory in line with the specific requirements in sport performance
- develop research and education collaborations with the scientific community
- ensure the quality of research dealing with high performance sport
- have an international scientific influence to promote internationally-recognized research activities

Eligibility:

This position will be available for the September 1st 2013.
It is suitable for Professors, or PhD with the HDR (french candidates) and a qualification as a professor in sports science.

- very good knowledge of high performance sport
- strong integration in the national and international academic field
- ability to manage a research team
- ability to lead scientific projects
- internationally recognized scientific level
- fluent english speaker
