We have an exciting opportunity for a Sport and Exercise Science Technician Instructor to join our highly skilled, inter-disciplinary Sport and Exercise Science team whose sport science degrees are currently ranked first in the UK based on the overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey. You will be an integral part of the team working across the psychology, biomechanics, health & exercise and physiology laboratories. The role involves: supporting and working on the academic programmes; with athletes, including those on the University talented athlete programmes and externally such as premiership football clubs, national GB squads and recreational athletes, along with health and exercise related clients.
The post involves working closely with the sport and exercise science staff to help create a high performance environment within the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sport Science through the provision of laboratory support. Your responsibilities will include the maintenance, preparation, calibration and safe-keeping of laboratory equipment, the overseeing of safe laboratory practice, record keeping and administrative tasks, instruction related to laboratory operations and the delivery of practical sessions.
