Two full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to begin August 2014 in a new Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Seeking two applicants with expertise in Musculoskeletal Assessment & Management or in Neurophysiological Assessment & Management.

Musculoskeletal Assessment & Management position(s) will teach graduate courses in musculoskeletal assessment and management and/or related areas. An earned terminal academic doctorate (PhD preferred) in physical therapy, biomechanics, sports medicine, kinesiology, anatomy or closely related area is required. Previous teaching experience in the physical therapy setting and board certification in a related specialty area (e.g., OCS, SCS, GCS) are desirable.

Neurophysiological Assessment & Management position(s) will teach graduate courses in neurophysiological assessment and management and/or related areas. An earned terminal academic doctorate (PhD preferred) in physical therapy, neurophysiologic-related science, pediatric- neurology/science, rehabilitation science, motor learning, biomechanics, kinesiology, anatomy or closely related area is required. Previous teaching experience in the physical therapy setting and board certification in a related specialty area (e.g., NCS, PCS, GCS) are desirable.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage in research leading to peer-reviewed publications and to seek external funding to support and promote research. Individuals appointed at the rank of Associate Professor will be expected to have an established record of published research focused in an area related to physical therapy and evidence of successful extramural funding. Mentor and supervise DPT doctoral projects. Participate in the development of the DPT program by collaborating with other faculty and professionals in the local community. Engage in university, community, and professional service.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: A graduate from an accredited physical therapy program. Eligible for licensure to practice physical therapy in California.

SALARY: Commensurate with credentials and experience.
