Public Announcement: Faculty Position
Bioengineering Course, Division of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics

1.Position and number of openings:
There is one position at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
2.Place of work:
The successful applicant will work in the Division of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics at the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology with primary responsibility to the Bioengineering Course.
3.Research field:
Any research field related to biorobotics (biologically inspired robotics and bio-integrated robotics). Preference will be given to applicants with a broad knowledge on human biology and life science.
4.Teaching responsibilities:
Undergraduate:
1st Year Students (Matsumoto Campus): Core educational courses on physics.
2nd-4th Year Students (Ueda Campus): Specialized courses on human biology, cell biology, and related exercise and experimental classes such as cell culture experiments.
Graduate School: Specialized courses on biorobotics, and related exercise and experimental classes.
5.Qualifications:
A doctor's degree, an ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Japanese, and administrative cooperation are required.
Shinshu University encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
6.Start of Employment: April 1, 2014
The mandatory retirement age is the last day of the academic year (March 31st) in which the person turns 65 years old.
