Flinders University is seeking an innovative academic to be appointed to the position of Chair of Biomedical Engineering. The Chair will provide research and teaching leadership within the Medical Device Research Institute (http://www.flinders.edu.au/science_e...ntres/mdri.cfm)
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics, the Chair will undertake leading-edge research and teaching, whilst fostering inter-disciplinary relationships with stakeholders across industry, government and other tertiary institutions.
The successful candidate will be an energetic and dynamic leader, with a distinguished and active track record of high-quality research outputs, including successful competitive grant applications.
Proven ability to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and active research in an area relevant to the School, which include biomaterials, imaging, simulation, and rehabilitation technologies. Strong candidates in any field of biomedical engineering will be considered. International networks will be an advantage. An alignment with the values of Flinders University and its commitment to sustainability are essential.
