The Department of Physical Therapy at California State University, Fresno, is seeking two new tenure-track faculty members, effective fall 2014, at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with teaching and research expertise in any of the following areas: Human Anatomy, Neuroanatomy/Neurophysiology, Applied Neuroscience, Neurological Assessment and Management, Musculoskeletal Assessment and Management, Women’s Health, Wellness, Administration, Differential Diagnosis, or Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Candidates must possess one of the following: 1) An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc) in Physical Therapy or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates may apply; however, the PhD must be completed by the time of appointment. 2) Post-professional DPT with board certification or exceptional clinical expertise in desired clinical teaching areas and a commitment to engage in scholarly activity. Candidates must be a physical therapist who has or is eligible for licensure in California, have a strong commitment to teaching at the graduate level, and are expected to pursue and an active, independent research track.
The Department of Physical Therapy is an integral part of the college of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno. We are located in Metropolitan Fresno, with a multi-ethnic population of over 600,000, which is in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley on the western edge of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. The campus is within easy driving distance to most California attractions including: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, the Monterey Peninsula, Lake Tahoe, beaches, sailing, lakes, amusement parks, and numerous ski resorts.
