Motion Lab Engineer
Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston, located in the heart of the prominent Texas Medical Center, has an immediate opening for a Motion Lab Engineer. If you have an interest in being part of a dynamic team whose vision it is to “become the best at transforming children’s lives by providing exceptional healthcare through innovative research in a patient and family centered environment”, then this is the place for you. Our lab utilizes an 8 camera Vicon 3D motion capture system, Tekscan pressure mapping system, 6 AMTI forceplates, 16 channel wireless EMG system, and a VIASYS Oxycon Mobile system. Skills and knowledge to include biomechanics, computer administration, computer network management, computer programming, relational databases, skills in hardware troubleshooting and repair, software installation and upgrades, data collection and reduction and verbal and written scientific reporting. A Masters in Bio-engineering or related experience is required. Motion Analysis experience is preferred.
