    The Department of Biomedical Sciences (http://www.oucom.ohiou.edu/dbms) in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is undergoing major expansion, with over $100 million in initiatives planned over the next decade. We have two tenure-track positions available at either the Assistant or Associate Professor levels, one in Gross Anatomy and one in Physiology. Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and experience.     ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ANATOMICAL SCIENCES
    The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicines invites applications from individuals with expertise in anatomical sciences. The research conducted by this faculty member should complement research of the Comparative Anatomy and Biomechanics faculty (Biknevicius, O’Connor, Reilly, Stevens, Witmer, Williams) in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Program (http://www.biosci.ohiou.edu/grad/eeb/) and may include biomechanics, comparative and evolutionary anatomy, functional morphology, developmental biology, and quantitative biology.

    The successful applicant is expected to establish and maintain an externally-funded research program and to publish their work in high-impact journals. Teaching responsibilities will emphasize medical gross anatomy, with possible integration of other fields of biomedical sciences. Participation in graduate education through the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Graduate Program is also expected. A PhD or equivalent is required, and postdoctoral training is preferred.

    ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PHYSIOLOGY
    The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Ohio University invites applications from individuals with expertise in the field of integrative or comparative physiology. The research conducted by this faculty member is expected to complement one or more of the following scientific research foci at Ohio University including: musculoskeletal and neurological disorders; functional anatomy and biomechanics; and diabetes. The successful applicant will be expected to teach cardiovascular physiology to medical students and participate in graduate education.

    The successful applicant will also be expected to establish and maintain an externally funded research program and to aggressively publish their work in high impact journals.
