The Faculty of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Toledo is pleased to announce the opening of a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position to be filled beginning in August 2014. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic faculty and conduct research, teach in the DPT curriculum, mentor students, and provide service to the university. The search is currently open and will continue until the position is filled.
Applicants are required to hold a PhD or equivalent degree, have relevant research and teaching experience, and be eligible for Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Ohio. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preference will be given to individuals with the ability to establish a productive research program, and those with expertise in anatomy and kinesiology/biomechanics. Applicants with expertise in other areas are also encouraged to apply. Opportunities for collaboration exist across colleges of the University and with the University of Toledo Medical Center, including with the Department of Kinesiology and its state-of-the-art motion analysis laboratory as well as with the Department of Bioengineering. Opportunities to participate in clinical practice are also available.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is part of the College of Health Sciences, which includes programs in kinesiology, athletic training, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and others. The program admits 28 DPT students per year, and offers a DPT/PhD program in collaboration with the Department of Kinesiology.
