Position: Assistant Professor of Motor Behavior - the Department of Health and Human Performance at the University of Houston is seeking a motor behavior specialist with demonstrable academic skills for an assistant professor. The position is a 9-month appointment with Summer school teaching optional. Effective date of appointment will be August, 2014.
Qualification: Ph.D. in biomechanics, motor control or bioengineering with a strong skill set in the measurement of human performance. Ability to conduct and publish high quality research. Potential to engage in cooperative research projects with medical and governmental agencies located in Houston. Ability to use a variety of educational technologies to deliver course content.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics and motor behavior broadly defined. Develop and maintain a vigorous research program programs that will facilitate the acquisition of external research funding. Perform service to the department, college, university and the profession.
