Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for 2 full time, 12-month tenure track positions in the Department of Physical Therapy. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and professional service activities and hold a doctoral degree with potential for extramural funding. Research related to rehabilitation science, neuroscience, or behavioral/social science is of particular interest to the Department. Eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska and teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas are preferred: geriatrics, neuroscience, social and behavioral sciences, and residency education. Applicants who complement our current faculty expertise will also be considered. A record of scholarly productivity or demonstrated potential for success in generating grants and peer-reviewed publications is required. The Department of Physical Therapy, with 13 full-time faculty members, is an integral part of a comprehensive health science campus. The Department has established itself as a leader in clinical doctoral education, offering entry-level and clinical residency programs, nationally funded research laboratories (http://rehablab.creighton.edu) and service to the profession through academic excellence and scholarship. The faculty educates and mentors the professional development of future physical therapists, contributes to the evolving base of physical therapy knowledge, and serves the community by being "men and women for and with others".
