    Job Summary:
    The Human Performance Center is a research laboratory specializing in biomechanics and
    exercise physiology, as well as center dedicated to preventing injury and improving the
    performance of athletes.

    Incumbent will manage both the technical and administrative areas, as well as serve as head
    technician. Will train students and investigators in the proper use of equipment and software;
    perform data collections and analysis; maintain, repair and develop new equipment/tools;
    maintain all required documents on laboratory procedures, lead monthly laboratory meetings;
    oversee all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, supply purchasing and quality
    oversight. The incumbent will also play a role as the administrator with other programs in the
    HPC such as RunSafe, including staff scheduling, client scheduling, purchasing, marketing,
    video capture and analysis, and continuous program development.

    Required Qualifications:
    Masters in Science or Engineering, specifically Biomechanics/Human Movement Science or
    related field. One or more years of recent related work experience utilizing listed techniques and
    equipment; extensive laboratory experience. Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal
    skills; ability to work independently and multi-task; excellent organizational skills; ability to
    troubleshoot protocols and equipment. Prior supervisor experience a plus.

    Techniques with Following Equipment:
    10 Vicon cameras for motion capture, 3 AMTI force plates, a Delsys 16 electrode wireless EMG
    system, an Alter-G treadmill, a Biodex treadmill, a Lode Excalibur Cycle Ergometer, a
    Parvomedics Metabolic Cart and a Quinton EKG Stress Cart.
