Requirements:
Ph.D. in research-based field (e.g., psychology, kinesiology, neuroscience); experience in concussion research (i.e., publications, presentations); proficient in: written, oral and interpersonal skills; data analysis (e.g., SPSS); ability to work well independently and as part of a team; familiarity with neurocognitive testing and neuroimaging technologies preferred; post-doctoral experience preferred.
Salary:
$40,000 - $45,000

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for developing research products on sport-related concussion including refereed journal articles, review articles, book chapters, and presentations. In addition this position will involve collaboration on guided and independent research projects focusing on the assessment and management of sport-related concussion. This position’s research agenda will focus primarily on clinical outcomes and will align with the overall research scope and vision of the UPMC Sports Concussion Program. This position will be supervised by the Executive Director and Assistant Research Director of the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and submit manuscripts on sport-related concussion for publication in peer-reviewed, high Impact factor journals;
• Develop and submit reviews and book chapters on sport related concussion;
• Develop and present papers, posters, and symposia on sport-related concussion at professional meetings;
• Collaborate with faculty, research staff, fellows on research and professional writing and presentation activities involving sport-related concussion;
• Assist research and clinical faculty with ongoing research projects within the program;
• Attend all faculty and staff meetings, Concussion Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, and other meetings as indicated
