VSI is a forensic consulting firm that conducts injury biomechanics and accident reconstruction services in automobile, sport/recreation, and industrial/occupational accidents.
Requirements
Master of Science degree in Biomechanical/Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics/Kinesiology or a closely related science with an emphasis in injury biomechanics preferred.
The position primarily involves injury biomechanics analysis in automobile accidents and so the ideal candidate will also possess background and experience in automotive safety and occupant injury biomechanics.
Experience with crash injury databases (e.g. NASS-CDS) or computational biomechanics (modeling/simulation) is a plus.
Forensic biomechanics is an applied science and candidates should have the ability to acquire and integrate knowledge, strong communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
