The biomechanics lab is currently equipped with a Qualisys motion capture system with eight Oqus 3+ cameras, 3 AMTI force plates, and a Trigno wireless EMG system (16 sensors). For more information on biomechanics research opportunities please direct questions to Dr. Brad Bowser (605-688-4829 or bradley.bowser@sdstate.edu).
In addition to gaining experience in biomechanics research, graduate students will have the opportunity to serve as teaching assistants in PE 454 Biomechanics and/or various activity courses. Assistantships are 40% positions, which require a minimum of 20 hours per week and provide a 9-month stipend. All interested applications should go to http://www3.sdstate.edu/hns/graduate...pp-process.cfm and complete an application to the graduate school, an application to the Department of Health and Nutritional Sciences, and a cover letter with the information requested on the website to be considered for a graduate assistantship.
