Position: Shriners Hospitals for Children - Shreveport, Louisiana, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to work in our recently updated Motion Analysis Laboratory. SHC-Shreveport is a 45-bed pediatric orthopedic hospital serving patients from a six-state region.
Responsibilities: Duties will include extensive involvement in the clinical evaluation of patients; te integration of kinematic, kinetic, elecromyographic, pedographic and clinical data into a comprehensive report used for treatment decision making; involvement in clinical research and participation in clinical and research teams.
Qualifications: Must possess a degree in Physical Therapy and current or pending Louisiana licensure. Preference will be given to candidates with prior computerized gait analysis experience. Candidates must display strong clinical skills. Esperience with pediatric patients with neuromuscular impairments is a plus. The qualified candidate should also display strong computer skills.
Equipment: Vicon T-20s cameras (8) with Nexus software; 3 AMTI force plates, Motion Lab Systems surface EMG, Novel emed-x foot pressure system.
