Applications are invited by the Assistive and Restorative Technology Laboratory at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, and The Minnesota Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Minnesota for a postdoctoral research scientist position. This fellowship will provide the opportunity to work on a collaborative project between the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic that includes imaging protocol development and image-based kinematic analysis of the extremities using biplanar and single plane fluoroscopy.
The post-doctoral position is available for a two year period beginning September 1st, 2014. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. along with an educational background in engineering (biomedical, mechanical, electrical), physics, movement sciences, or imaging science. Image processing, computer visualization, and programming skills are preferred. Previous experience with in vitro validation of image-based measurements and application of image-based techniques to in vivo kinematics is also desirable; however, highly motivated candidates with interest in image-based kinematics are encouraged to apply.
