    The Faculty’s Discipline of Exercise and Sports Science, known for its work in the application of exercise to health and humanperformance, is particularly committed to building on its strong academic andresearch credentials in the areas of exercise, health, and physical activity.This aligns with the significant developments in the University in the areas ofdiabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity realised in the establishment of anew Charles Perkins Centre of which the faculty is an integral part.

    We are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated professional to makea significant contribution to our research and teaching programs in ExercisePhysiologyatLecturer or Senior Lecturer level.

    In this role you will:
    · pursue a research program in the area of exercise physiology includinggrant acquisition, presentations and peer-reviewed publications
    · recruit and supervise postgraduate research students and contribute tothe faculty’s academic program
    · teach into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in exercisephysiology, take on responsibility for unit of study coordination and contributeto curriculum development
    · contribute to administrative aspects of teaching and research.

    To succeed in this role you will have:
    · a PhD in exercise physiology (or equivalent discipline) and a broadunderstanding of exercise responses
    · expertise in clinical exercise physiology, particularly obesity,diabetes, and cardiovascular disease
    · a record of journal publications for appointment at Level B;an established publication record anddemonstrated capacity for research grant acquisition for appointment at Level C
    · experience in research-led teaching of exercise science atthe tertiary level
    · good communication skills; and the ability to work in amulti-disciplinary team
    · previous experience in curriculum development and coursecoordination (desirable at Level B; essential at Level C)
    · experience with research student supervision (desirable atLevel B; essential at Level C)
    · Exercise and Sports Science Australia Accredited ExercisePhysiologist certification (desirable).
