Victoria University, as part of a strategy to be world renowned in Sport, Exercise and Active Living, is seeking to appoint a Professor in Sport Biomechanics. This appointment will be jointly funded by the Australian Sport Commission (ASC) through the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and Victoria University. The Professor, Sport Biomechanics will undertake and lead innovative research in the area of Musculoskeletal Modelling Biomechanics with a focus on sport performance improvement, gait analysis and injury prevention. The position is based at AIS Canberra with regular travel to Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living (ISEAL) at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.
The successful application will have demonstrated experience in developing and leading interdisciplinary research programs.
This is a 5 year fixed term position with a 17% employer superannuation contribution.
