  • Post-Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity

Post-doctoral fellowship opportunities are available at the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety (LMRIS) and the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) in physical ergonomics, behavioral sciences, human factors, safety, injury epidemiology, and disability/return to work.

We are seeking applicants for two-year post-doctoral fellowships in the above areas. This is a fully-funded, joint program based at the Harvard School of Public Health Education & Research Center, involving scientists at both institutions; post-doctoral research is conducted at both HSPH and at LMRIS. Our post-doctoral fellows have found this to be an excellent opportunity to conduct important research, develop a strong publication track record, and begin a successful academic career. To learn more and to apply: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/erc/post-doctoral-position-opening/.

Applications for the Harvard program are due by September 15, 2014. Successful applicants have had training and experience relevant to the institutionally shared areas of scientific interest, excellent recommendations, and planned an innovative research program in collaboration with one or more of our investigators. Doctoral students who have recently graduated, who will graduate between now and summer 2015, or researchers with
less than five years’ experience post-doctorate are encouraged to apply.

To learn more about the Institute’s research, please see this link (www.libertymutual.com/research). Background on current fellows and program alumni is available on the same website.

Interested persons should feel free to contact Dr. Jeffrey Schiffman (Jeffrey.schiffman@libertymutual.com), Dr. Xu Xu (Xu.xu@libertymutual.com) other LMRIS scientists, or the respective university faculty to find out more about the program, and to discuss potential research opportunities.
