    Assistant/Associate Professor of Biomechanics
    The Exercise Science and Health Promotion Program (formerly the Kinesiology Program) in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion is seeking a full-time, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor to conduct high-impact research, teach biomechanics courses, supervise students in research settings, and engage in service activities in university, professional, and community settings.
    The School of Nutrition and Health Promotion (SNHP) at Arizona State University is currently the largest unit in the newly formed College of Health Solutions, whose mission it is to create synergy across the health-related enterprises at ASU and with external partners. SNHP is dedicated to the provision of a rigorous, high caliber education for students in Nutrition, Exercise Science and Health Promotion, Health Sciences, and Medical Laboratory Science. SNHP is committed to the engagement in and application of research designed to promote health and well-being and reduce risk of chronic disease in persons across the lifespan and throughout society.

    Required Qualifications
    • Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field with a specialization in biomechanics
    • Demonstrated ability to attain research funding, engage in- and publish research that is aligned with the mission of the College of Health Solutions
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics

    Desired Qualifications
    • Post-doctoral experience
    • A demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
    • A demonstrated ability to mentor undergraduate, master, and doctoral students in research projects
    • Experience incorporating current literature and evidence-based practice in clinical settings or health-related scenarios
