The Department of Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering (MBE) at Boise State University invites applications for multiple tenure-track and open-rank tenure faculty positions (Assistant, Associate, Full). Applicants should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and a desire to make significant contributions in research by collaborating with faculty and industry to develop and sustain funded research programs. Senior applicants should have an established track record of research, teaching, and external funding. The successful candidate will be expected to make balanced contributions in teaching, research, and service. An earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required at the time of appointment and a PE license or the ability to acquire one is preferred.
All outstanding candidates will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants working in the areas of:
• biomechanics / bioinstrumentation / biomaterials
• advanced manufacturing
• energy systems
• controls
