Assistant Professor Faculty Position - Whole-Body Biomechanics and Design

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Individuals with training and experience in design of whole-body biomechanical systems, biomechanics of the body as a system, design of medical devices related to rehabilitation or ergonomics, full exoskeleton design, motion and gait analysis, and mechanical ergonomic design, are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have completed a doctorate. Teaching experience is desirable. Responsibilities of the position include developing a strong research program and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in product design and ergonomics. The individual will be expected to acquire federal funding for research and to contribute to interdisciplinary research activities.
