Fully funded PhD scholarship in musculoskeletal biomechanics – UniSA, Adelaide
The biomechanics & neuromotor laboratory has an immediate opening for a PhD candidate. The project will investigate the effect of different surgical approaches used in total hip replacement surgery using musculoskeletal modelling methods. The candidate will be based in the School of Health Sciences at the University of South Australia. He/she will be integrated into an extensive orthopaedic biomechanics network in Adelaide.
The candidate should have a 1st class honours degree or Masters by research in an area such as mechanical engineering, exercise science or physiotherapy. Experience with motion analysis is desirable.
Only Australian & New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship value will be $25,849 (equivalent to the Australian Postgraduate Award and indexed annually). Funding for the direct costs associated with the research is available to the candidate.
