    The Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time, tenure-stream academic position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Kinesiology, Health and Performance beginning July 1, 2015.

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. by date of appointment or shortly thereafter, demonstrated excellence in research and teaching and a well-articulated research program. Post-doctoral training is highly desirable. The applicant should have a track record of publications in her/his area of expertise and success in securing research funding. This position offers excellent opportunities to develop independent research programs within a multidisciplinary environment. Candidates registered or eligible for registration as kinesiologists with the Province of Ontario are preferred.

    Applications for this position are invited from those with disciplinary expertise of direct relevance to the scope of practice for registered kinesiologists in the province of Ontario. Informed by their research expertise, the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses principally to students registered in a new professional masters program. Collaborations with colleagues in the Faculty, university and related research community will be strongly encouraged. Previous relevant graduate student teaching experiences and demonstrated expertise in advancing the theory-practice nexus are highly desirable. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
