We are seeking a full-time lab manager at Boston University in the Motor Development Laboratory, which is directed by Dr. Simone Gill. Dr. Gill's Motor Development Lab conducts research focusing on how physical and task constraints affect motor adaptation and development across the lifespan (http://www.bu.edu/motordevlab/). Primary responsibilities for the lab manager will include, but are not limited to, managing participant recruitment and scheduling, assisting with experiments, and supporting all technical aspects of lab activities including equipment set-up, and data acquisition and analysis. This position is for a 1 year initial term with the possibility of renewal. Required Skills: B.A./B.S. in Psychology, Movement Science, or in a Kinesiology related field, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work well as part of a team, the ability to gather, process and analyze laboratory-based kinematic, behavioral and psychophysical data, experience with SPSS, and electronics and computer troubleshooting. Some heavy lifting and patient care/contact will be required.
