Job Description
The School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science in the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana is seeking a leader to serve as the School's Chair for its Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The previous Chair was promoted to the Dean of the College. This is a 10 month, tenure-track faculty position. The School houses: The Nora Staael Evert Clinic; The New Directions Wellness Center for people with chronic disabilities; The Neural Injury Center which is devoted to treatment and research in traumatic brain injury; and four research laboratories.
The Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy is a fully accredited 3 year entry-level program with 34 students per class who attain a 100% first-time pass rate on the NPTE. The School also offers a distance learning transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree for post-professional students. The School is comprised of 11 full-time faculty and several adjunct faculty. The School provides an environment that supports and fosters the development of pedagogical excellence and high-quality research by all faculty members.
The School Chair is responsible for leadership and administration of the on- and off-site didactic programs, research, and clinical practice programs. This includes School communication, strategic planning, fiscal management and planning, programmatic assessment, faculty and staff development and evaluation. Expectations of the position include teaching, scholarship, and service.

Salary and benefits are competitive. Rank, salary, and tenure status is commensurate with the

- Experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice
- Academic credentials consistent with the rank of associate professor with tenure
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
- Eligibility for licensure in Montana
- Administrative/Leadership experience
