    Military Athletic Trainer

    These positions will be located at Ft. Benning, GA. These positions will be full time and part time one-year limited term fellowship-type appointments designed to introduce individuals into the Military AT setting, subject to continuation of the DOD contract, up to three years. The Department of Defense has expanded its contract with Auburn University to continue serving members of the US Army through the Warrior Athletic Training Program. Along with the normal duties, these new positions will specifically focus on physical screening of incoming Soldiers and educational/training programs designed to improve fitness. The mission of this program involves injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries well as education and physical fitness screening and interventions. The Military Athletic Trainers provide athletic training services and educational opportunities which include but are not limited to providing rehabilitation or strength and conditioning programs to our clients, providing clinical athletic training coverage as needed, coordinating program activities, collecting treatment data, creating reports, and developing new programs and initiatives. These Athletic Trainers will also assist in all aspects of running the athletic training outreach programs which may include maintaining and ordering supplies as well as other tasks as assigned by the program director or the clinical/assistant coordinator.

    The work schedule is a full-time/40-hour per week or part-time, 20 hours per week assignment with full university benefits. However, schedules will be assigned depending on command needs, and will often require early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Athletic Trainers will be expected to be dedicated to ensuring successful completion of the mission of the Warrior Athletic Training Program. These positions need to be will be filled immediately.     Job Requirements
    The minimum qualifications for the AT positions include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Athletic Training or a closely related field. Must have graduated from an accredited athletic training program, be a Certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Training Board of Certification, and be healthcare-provider CPR/AED certified. applicants must meet eligibility requirements to be licensed in the State of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers. ; advanced clinical practices; physical fitness; and injury tracking is required. Must understand the legal aspects of keeping and maintaining medical notes and records as required by HIPAA regulations as well as medical ethics requirements
