Position Overview: Are you passionate for sports, technology, and biomechanics? Motus is for you! We are rapidly expanding our corporate offices and biomechanics labs in New York and Florida. This position is tailored for advanced students, entry-level graduates, and professionals who have the capability to learn in a fast paced environment. Individuals will work closely with professional sports teams and partners of Motus in MLB, NBA, NFL, NCAA, FIFA, and Olympic Track and Field. Major Duties:
-Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of STSP researchers and technologists to innovate cutting edge wearable technology applications for sports and rehab. The majority of your time will be spent on a capstone summer project with teammates with specialized backgrounds in electronics, app development, data science, and biomechanics.


Minor Duties:
-Operate Motus’ software to generate 3D kinematics and kinetics data on a variety of sports motions including: baseball pitching, baseball batting, golf, tennis, dynamic knee stability, lacrosse, hockey, football, sprinting, running, and soccer applications.
-Prepare biomechanical reports for physical therapists, physicians, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, sport coaches, data scientist staff members, and front office staff for developmental and elite sports teams.
-Communicate strongly with clients to deliver industry leading biomechanics feedback to prevent injury and enhance performance of elite and developmental athletes.
-Assist in generation of new software packages via matlab and visual basic programming languages.


Requirements:
-Extremely passionate towards sports (required).
-BA/BS/MS student in Biomechanics, Engineering, Computer Science, Exercise Science, or related technology field (required)
-Previous experience with matlab programming (required).
-Previous experience with motion capture equipment (desired).
-Experience with 3D physics, animation, biomechanics, anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, strength & conditioning, web development, database management, statistical analysis, or C/C++/Java/Objective C programming skills (optional)
