Position Overview: Are you passionate for sports, technology, biomechanics, or medicine? Motus is for you! We are rapidly expanding our corporate office in New York. This position is tailored for advanced students, entry-level graduates, and professionals who have the capability to learn in a fast paced environment. Individuals will work closely with professional sports teams and partners of Motus in MLB, NBA, NFL, NCAA, FIFA, and Olympic Track and Field. Opportunities for advancement are integral to our company’s growth.
Major Duties:
-Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of STSP researchers and technologists to innovate cutting edge wearable technology applications for sports and rehab. The majority of your time will be spent on a capstone summer project with teammates with specialized backgrounds in electronics, app development, data science, and biomechanics.
MinorDuties:
-Collaborate with Motus’ mobile application development team to take various lab protocols to the field with suites of wearable technology.
-Use strong understanding of engineering principles to use Motus’ 3D Physics engine in various sports applications.
-Communicate strongly with clients to deliver and test prototypes of newly innovated tools.
Requirements:
-Extremely passionate towards sports (required).
-BA/BS/MS student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technology field (required)
-Previous experience with C/C++/Java/Objective C programming for iOS or Android (required).
-Previous experience with Bluetooth, Accelerometers, and Gyroscopes (desired).
-Experience with animation, biomechanics, anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, strength & conditioning, web development, database management, and statistical analysis (optional).
