Position Overview: Are you passionate for sports, technology, biomechanics, or medicine? Motus is for you! We are rapidly expanding our corporate office in New York. This position is tailored for advanced students, entry-level graduates, and professionals who have the capability to learn in a fast paced environment. Individuals will work closely with professional sports teams and partners of Motus in MLB, NBA, NFL, NCAA, FIFA, and Olympic Track and Field. Opportunities for advancement are integral to our company’s growth.
Major Duties:
-Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of STSP researchers and technologists to innovate cutting edge wearable technology applications for sports and rehab. The majority of your time will be spent on a capstone summer project with teammates with specialized backgrounds in electronics, app development, data science, and biomechanics.
Minor Duties:
-Collaborate with Motus’ data science, research & technology teams to conduct statistical analysis within Motus’ exhaustive database of athletic motion.
-Leverage data science findings to publish research with Motus’ research team.
-Leverage data science findings to implement into Motus’ mobile applications and wearable technology platforms.
Requirements:
-Extremely passionate towards sports (required).
-BA/BS/MS student in Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technology field (required)
-Previous experience with statistical programming packages: R/Python/SPSS (required).
-Previous experience principal component analysis, modeling and machine learning algorithms (desired).
-Experience with animation, biomechanics, anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, strength & conditioning, web development, database management (optional).
