    This two year postdoctoral position is a joint collaboration between the Center for Gait and Motion Analysis at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

    Approximately 50% of the position duties will involve conducting a long-term outcomes study (Distal Femoral Extension Osteotomy and Patellar Advancement for Treatment of Crouch Gait) as part of a multi-disciplinary study team. Duties will include study design, recruitment, collecting/processing/analyzing 3D gait data, writing and presenting results.

    The other 50% of the position will involve conceiving of and conducting relevant human movement research. The topic is flexible, and will be decided upon jointly by the candidate and the supervising team.

    The applicant must have
    • an established record of successful research in human movement
    • an interest in clinical research and gait analysis
    • ability to collect and process gait data (or capacity to learn)
    • a history of peer reviewed publications


    Appropriate Educational Backgrounds Include:
    • Biomedical Engineering (or related engineering field)
    • Human Movement Science
    • Kinesiology
    • Rehabilitation scientist
    • MD
    • Physical Therapy
