The Physical Therapy Department at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking applications for a tenure track, 12-month faculty position as an Associate Professor. This faculty member will teach primarily in the Ph.D. in Physical Therapy Program and potentially in the Professional (entry-level) Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT), Transitional DPT, and/or the certificate and residency programs. Responsibilities*
1. Primary teaching responsibility in the Ph.D. in PT program, secondary teaching responsibility in the professional and post-professional PT programs
2. Serve as Chair and/or committee members for Ph.D. students; mentorship of scholarship
3. Actively engage in scholarly activities including research collaborations
4. Participate in departmental and school faculty meetings
5. Engage in service at department, school and university levels
6. Engage in professional association activities at regional, state and national levels
7. Provide student academic advisement and professional socialization
8. Provide mentorship for student projects including case reports, service learning and others
9. Continue with record of professional development
10. Effectively participate in the department's collegial model and faculty governance.
Required Qualifications*
1. Earned Ph.D., Ed.D. or DSc
2. Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity including publications and extramural funding in a health science field
3. Teaching experience at the university level
Desired Qualifications*
Experience teaching in health science field is preferred.

The Physical Therapy Department would like to hire an Associate Professor but will accept an Assistant Professor if no candidates meet the Associate Professor criteria.
