The Department of Kinesiology at Temple University (chpsw.temple.edu/kinesiology), one of seven departments and one School in the College of Public Health, is recruiting a non-tenure track faculty member to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs beginning August 18, 2015. Temple University is a Carnegie Research University (high), with more than 39,000 students and distinguished faculty in 17 schools and colleges. The University has an exceptionally strong commitment to quality teaching, research, and advising. The Department of Kinesiology, with approximately 1,300 students, has strong graduate and undergraduate degree programs. The undergraduate program in Kinesiology is the third largest in the University, and is comprised of programs of study in athletic training, exercise and sports science, and the pre-health professions (designed for students seeking graduate study in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, medicine, nursing, podiatry, etc.).
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated professional with a background in neuromechanics to teach undergraduate courses. The ideal applicant will have an earned doctorate in a related area, and a strong record of teaching at the undergraduate level is highly desirable. In addition, any specialty certifications will be beneficial. This appointment is from August 18, 2015 to June 30, 2016 with the potential for contract renewal.
