    Scope and Responsibilities:

    As an NSRL Applied Researcher I, you will:

    • Execute sports specific research projects (both applied and basic research) aimed at delivering proven performance insights that lead to innovative footwear, apparel and equipment concepts
    • Help design and build prototypes for applied research
    • Collect data on recreational and elite NIKE athletes
    • Become a resident expert in the research tools of the Nike Sport Research Lab
    • Help develop new tools, equipment, and methods to enhance our sport research capabilities

    Qualifications:
    • MSc in Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Kinesiology
    • Must possess a thorough understanding of anatomy, biomechanical principles, experimental designs and statistical procedures
    • Strong computer programming skills is an asset
    • Curious, driven, resourceful, and a creative problem solver
    • Passion for athletics and/or biomechanics
    • Experience with the tools used to collect and analyze biomechanical data
    • Demonstrated understanding of sport performance & injury mechanisms
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Good communication and people skills
    • Experience working with test subjects
    • Experience with programming (Matlab, Labview, VB.Net) is a preferred
    • Exposure to industrial research a plus
    • Knowledge of footwear and product creation processes is a plus
