We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow to work for the final year of a 3-year funded project, starting June 1st, 2015. The overarching goal of this work will be to develop and validate musculoskeletal simulation models to work in sport environment. The models will incorporate the characteristics of different disciplines: physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and psychology in order to represent the complementary constraints acting during sport activities.
The project is run at the Institute of Movement Sciences of Aix-Marseille University and includes ten people working as a team. The experimental platform will be located at the TechnoSport facility (http://technosport.univ-amu.fr/en).
The project will be largely computational, working with previously collected data sets, although there will be opportunity for some further data collection. Applicants will be considered who have expertise and interest in biomechanics, multi body modeling, simulation, and computer programming. Salary will be commensurate with experience based on current French levels.
