    Become a Part of the APDM Engineering Team
    At APDM, our mission is to develop the highest quality and fully featured technologies for monitoring human movement with wearable sensors. As a first step in this mission, we created the world’s most advanced wearable movement monitor, the Opal, with a full kinematic sensor suite including low-noise triaxial accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers. We have also created a world-class gait and balance assessment tool, Mobility Lab, to support research and clinical trials in human movement. We are now developing systems for high performance sports applications, and are seeking an engineer to develop the next generation of sports analysis products.

    This unique opportunity will not only give you access to the top athletes and coaches in the US, but you will be able make a difference in their training and preparation with the goal of podium placement. We are looking for an engineer who is fearless, creative, and a great communicator.

    Scope and Responsibilities
    As a member of APDM’s technical staff, you will:
    • Work closely with coaching and rehabilitation staff at a high performance sports institution to identify measures of performance that are informative and actionable
    • Collect data on elite athletes using our wearable sensors
    • Develop new algorithms that can automatically process sensor data and convert it into actionable information that will help these athletes improve their performances

    Qualifications
    We are seeking the following qualities in our candidates:
    • MSc in Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Kinesiology
    • Strong signal processing skills
    • Experience with inertial sensors preferred
    • Experience with programming (Matlab, C++, and/or Python are preferred)
    • A creative and resourceful problem solver
    • Passion for athletics
    • An understanding of sport performance & injury mechanisms
    • Good communication and people skills

    Location: Colorado Springs, CO
    Relocation: Yes
    Commitment: Full-time
