    POSITION AVAILABLE: Faculty position in the tenure track, Department of Physical Therapy, University of Pittsburgh (https://www.pittsource.com/postings/93083)

    TERM(S) OF APPOINTMENT: A 12-month appointment beginning April 1, 2015

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1) Earned doctorate
    2) Graduate of an accredited entry-level program in physical therapy
    3) Eligible for PT licensure in Pennsylvania

    CRITERIA FOR REVIEW:
    • Expertise in musculoskeletal or neuromuscular physical therapy
    • Expertise in biomechanics
    • Experience in quantitative motion analysis
    • Demonstrated record of grant support, research, and publication in peer-reviewed journals
    • Experience in teaching and mentoring entry-level and post-professional physical therapy graduate students
    • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team for teaching, research and grant activities
    • Active member and participation in appropriate professional societies and /or associations
    • Professional goals compatible with School’s and University’s mission and direction


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Participate in physical therapy DPT curriculum
    • Participate with faculty in procuring external funding
    • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary research efforts
    • Advise entry-level and post-professional physical therapy graduate students
    • Teach in the entry-level and post-professional physical therapy programs related to area of expertise.
    • Serve on School and University Committee


    SALARY AND BENEFITS: Negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience
