  • MS Graduate Assistantship in Biomechanics at The University of Memphis

The Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS) unit within the Department of Health and Sport Sciences (HSS) at The University of Memphis is currently seeking a well qualified Master’s-level graduate assistant in the area of lower extremity biomechanics beginning fall 2015. The assistantship may include a combination of research within the Musculoskeletal Analysis Laboratory and instruction within undergraduate courses. Assistantships are typically nine months (with some very limited options for summer employment), and include a monthly stipend and full tuition waiver for the fall and spring semesters. Prior research experience in the field of biomechanics and/or a strong interest in lower extremity biomechanics are desired.

The Department of HSS provides students with a quality education focused on the fundamental principles of exercise, health, nutrition, physical activity, leisure and sport, while equipping them with the cutting-edge knowledge and skills needed to fulfill leadership roles in their chosen area of specialty. Within the EXSS unit there are specialties in biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, and strength & conditioning.
