R&D Engineer in SPORT BIOMECHANICS in DECATHLON - Lille - France (permanent contract)

The LSM* team in the Decathlon SportsLab is looking for a new member to enrich its team of engineers specialized in the analysis of the body / product interactions. Our team participates in innovation and product design to make them accessible to most people.

THE PROFILE
The mission of our new crew member will be to develop research and development projects to assist in the design of our DECATHLON products. We also attach great importance to the product claims in our stores and make sure that they are tested and validated in our laboratories. So you will have the task of conducting exploration or validation studies that will lead to innovative ruptures and prove the technical nature of our products. We expect that you have skills in musculoskeletal modeling and movement simulation (: opensim, visual3D), finite element modeling and simulation (: Abaqus, Ansys) and neuromuscular physiology. You will have knowledge in statistics, and biomechanics. Of course, DECATHLON being a worldwide company, mastering English is required (reading, writing, speaking), knowledge in french or the ability to learn the language will be a plus for this permanent position.
Your future responsibilities:
> create and animate applied and / or fundamental research protocols,
> contribute to the project of the lab and the company by developing exclusive knowledge of the body in motion,
> provide passion brands with ergonomic design rules,
> scout, sign and conduct research contracts and projects with DECATHLON key partners.
> be trained to the laboratory tools and softwares to carry out your internal research projects.
> show your innovative ideas and ensure legal protection and dissemination of your results.
