Motion & Sports Analysis Lab Engineer
The John C. Wilson Jr. Motion & Sports Analysis Laboratory at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Orthopaedic Center of Excellence has an immediate opening for a Motion Lab Engineer. The Motion Lab Engineer is a key member of the motion lab team and is responsible for all technical aspects of clinical operations. Specific responsibilities are collecting, processing, verifying and maintaining the integrity of all data including motion, force, and electromyography. The engineer is also responsible for managing all data storage and overseeing the technical aspects of all motion lab equipment. The engineer works closely with the Director of Research, Dr. Tishya Wren, on the technical aspects of research projects.
The mission of the John C, Wilson Jr. Motion & Sports Analysis Laboratory is to improve the walking ability of children with neuromuscular problems, to maximize recovery following sports related injuries, and to identify young athletes who are at risk of injury. This mission is accomplished through comprehensive clinical and technological evaluation and research. A combination of highly skilled, experienced personnel and state-of-the-art technology allows the motion lab to maintain its leadership position in the field of motion analysis.

The Motion Lab Engineer position requires graduation from an accredited school of engineering with a B.S. degree or equivalent in biomedical, mechanical or electrical engineering. Experience in motion analysis preferred.
