    Postdoctoral Research Position
    University of Wisconsin-Madison Neuromuscular Biomechanics Laboratory

    A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the impact of surgical treatment on knee mechanics and function in children who exhibit crouch gait. The research is being performed in conjunction with Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare (St. Paul, MN), and will involve the use of musculoskeletal modeling, surgical simulations, retrospective analysis of clinical outcomes, and MR imaging of patients. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related field, and have strong technical skills including MATLAB programming experience. Research experience with human motion analysis, multibody dynamics, computational biomechanics and/or statistics is highly desirable. The position is funded through a grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
