Salary: £47,328 - £50,200 (with progression to £54,841)
You will engage in high-quality research in clinical neuroscience with a particular focus on the mechanisms that underpin gait and postural control in older adults and in neurodegenerative disease. This research will provide a basis for development of novel interventions. Working with Professor Lynn Rochester in her role as leader of the Human Movement Science Team, you will produce high-quality research publications as lead author; supervise PhD and Masters research students in neuroscience research areas; attract postgraduate research students and postdoctoral fellows; contribute to research-led undergraduate teaching; and provide personal tutorship to undergraduates.
You should have a PhD and a record of high quality publications in leading national and international peer reviewed journals, with significant postdoctoral experience in clinical neuroscience. Previous research in the field of gait and postural control is desirable but not essential. A clinical background is also desirable.
You will have a proven track record of success preparing research proposals and securing grant income as a Principal Investigator, with experience of managing a research team, excellent communication and organisational skills, and excellent team working and collaborative research skills.
