Interdisciplinary Health Science/Rehabilitation Sciences program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is seeking PhD students. The area of research is biomechanics and motor learning in prosthetic rehabilitation.
Responsibilities for graduate assistants:
Each graduate assistant will work with an assigned faculty mentor on research projects and provide instruction within graduate (Doctor of Physical Therapy) and undergraduate courses (20 hours/week). Assistantship includes a competitive monthly stipend and tuition waiver.
Potential applicants with a background in rehabilitation sciences (physical therapy, prosthetics & orthotics, occupational therapy, athletic training, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, or other related areas) are encouraged to apply.

The minimum requirements are the following:
- An overall undergraduate/graduate GPA >3.25
- >50th average percentile on the quantitative, verbal, and analytic portions of the GRE (taken within the last 5 years)
- Graduated from an accredited rehabilitation clinical sciences profession (eg, PT, OT, speech therapy, athletic training) at either the MS or clinical doctoral levels.
- If the applicant has a professional BS degree only, then 30 additional credits of degree-consistent, graduate-level coursework will be required.
- If the applicant is from a country where English is not an official language, then the applicant must demonstrate English proficiency (>80 on the TOEFL, >7.0 on the International English Language Testing System, >70th percentile on the GRE-verbal, BS or higher at a regionally accredited university in the US or where English is the language of instruction)
