The Hard Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory at the University ofTexas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to workon research projects supported by NIH and NSF. This position requires a Ph.D.degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a closelyrelated field and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary environment(engineers, biologist, clinicians, and physicists). The incumbent is expectedto take a leading role in the research projects, to mentor students, to publishhigh quality papers, and to help writing grants. Applicants with the experience inone or more of the following research areas are especially welcome:
1) Structure-function relationship of biomaterials.
2) Computational biomechanics.
3) Bioinspired nanocomposites.
4) Nanomechanics of biological materials.
