The Insight Research Centre for Data Analytics (http://www.Insight-centre.org) is the largest ever funded research centre in Ireland bringing together a critical mass of more than 200 researchers from Ireland's leading ICT centers to develop a new generation of data analytics technologies in a number of key application areas. My research group are particularly interested in developing low cost technologies to allow people to exercise and rehabilitate from injury (connected health). We have a number of large scale European and Industrial projects, involving 8 Post Docs and numerous PhDs across a host of interdisciplinary domains.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who would like to undertake a 4 year PhD (details attached). The position will involve working on a range of challenges in the areas of motion capture using off the shelf inertial sensors and the Microsoft Kinect.
