In the Faculty of Health Science we have an exciting opportunity for a computer science research fellow to work with clinicians and movement scientists on a home-based falls identification programme.
We are seeking a computer scientist with previous research experience of movement capture through digital video, Kinect and body-worn monitors to work with the SPHERE Health team in Southampton. The role is concerned with the extraction and interpretation of data collected in residential settings. You must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and therefore be skilled in communicating with and working alongside non-computer specialists.
The work is funded by EPSRC and is conducted in collaboration with Bristol and Reading Universities. SPHERE is led by Professor Ian Craddock at the University of Bristol. At Southampton, the Principal Research Fellow is Dr Emma Stack and the Chief Investigator Professor Ann Ashburn.
