Postdoc Positions in Rehabilitation
Postdoctoral Position – Stochastic Signal Processing and Control
The Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (NREL) at the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for one position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in the topic area of stochastic signal processing and control.
This research associate will focus on developing innovative control systems for prostheses, exoskeletons, and assertive devices. A successful candidate should have a recent PhD degree in electrical, computer, or biomedical engineering and have experience on haptics or shared control. Experience in biomedical signal processing is required. Experience in working with human subjects is preferred.
NREL is located inside the Research Triangle in North Carolina. Currently, our group investigates the control mechanism of neuromuscular systems in normal and neurologically-disabled individuals, develops advanced neural-machine interfacing technologies, and applies these techniques toward neural control of prosthetics, orthotics, computers, and other assistive devices. More details about our research can be found at our website: http://nrel.bme.ncsu.edu/
The initial appointment is one year and extendable based on performance and funding.
If you are interested, please submit your curriculum vitae, a 1-page research statement, selected publications, and three references to:nrel.ncsu@gmail.com.
