    FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

    The School of Kinesiology announces the availability of a tenure-track position at the Associate/Full Professor level in Motor Behavior with a commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly productivity, and service. The appointment will be effective August 15, 2016.

    Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a related field, and possess a willingness to work with other faculty on collaborative projects. The candidate is expected to have a proven track record of an externally funded research program which will complement the current research foci of the four faculty members in motor behavior. Furthermore, the candidate must have an aptitude to teach undergraduate classes in motor learning, motor development, and/or biomechanics, as well as graduate courses related to the candidate’s expertise. Additional responsibilities include mentoring graduate students and performing professional service to the university, community, and profession. Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to a candidate with current external funding with a focus on a topic that is both unique and augments current faculty research foci, such as motor behavioral/biomechanical aspects of physical training and safety, assistive robotics, overuse training, adult aging, and/or rehabilitation.

    Responsibilities: (1) Conduct scholarly research; (2) teach undergraduate and graduate classes; (3) advise graduate students; (4) direct theses and dissertations; (5) build a scholarly externally funded research program within the School; and (6) perform service to the department, college, university, and profession.

    Rank: Associate/Full Professor

    Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
